Wild. Sustainable. And Definitely Delicious.

Research suggests that adding omega-3 to our diet can help in the maintenance of good health1. Cold water fish are a potent source of beneficial omega-3 – which is why NutraSea +D™ Cod Liver Oil is derived from cod caught deep in the nutrient-rich Northeast Arctic Ocean.

Our health is equally dependent on that of the planet and of our oceans. As part of our commitment to maintaining the ongoing health and diversity of the world's oceans, we've partnered with the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) to ensure NutraSea+D Cod Liver Oil is produced only from sustainable MSC-certified fisheries.

And as for delicious? We figured that for everyone to enjoy the benefits of omega-3, we better make it taste good.

Certified Sustainable.
All NutraSea+D Cod Liver Oil is MSC certified, meaning it comes from ocean-friendly wild seafood that can be traced back to a sustainable fishery. The MSC blue fish logo identifies products that adhere to the MSC Fisheries Standard‡, a science-based set of requirements for sustainable fishing.

Trusted, tested and proven.
All along the supply chain, from ocean to plate, MSC certified fish and seafood is separated from non-certified. It is clearly labelled so it can be traced to a certified sustainable fishery. Regular DNA testing is conducted to ensure that MSC certified products are correctly labelled. MSC is the only wild-capture fisheries certification and ecolabelling program that meets international best practice requirements.

Choose the blue fish:
The blue fish logo is only applied to wild fish or seafood from sustainable fisheries that have been certified to the MSC Fisheries Standard.‡

Grandma was right after all.
She may not have known why, but your grandma was on to something with her cod liver oil. Turns out, cod is packed with the omega-3  fatty acids your body needs and NutraSea+D Cod Liver Oil is one of the easiest ways to get it.

The chart below shows the weekly servings required for the same EPA+DHA contained in each teaspoon of NutraSea+D Cod Liver Oil. †+

One teaspoon NutraSea+D Cod Liver Oil delivers 900mg of essential omega-3.
†EPA+DHA content per 3-oz serving data obtained from: Circulation. 2002 Nov 19;106(21):2747–57. 1 Based on a 3 oz serving. Please note that weekly intakes of fish provided are very rough estimates because oil content can vary markedly (>300%) with species, season, diet, packaging, and cooking methods. ˇ1 typical krill softgel = 74mg EPA+DHA from 500mg of natural krill oil. 900 mg EPA+DHA / day = 12 krill softgels.
‡The MSC is the only wild-capture fisheries certification and ecolabelling program that meets best practice requirements set by both the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO) and ISEAL, the global membership association for sustainability standards. In March 2017, the MSC became the first global seafood certification program to be recognized for rigour and credibility by the Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI).
